I've been reading my dad's journals and came across this fun memory:
"December 1, 1980--We did some Christmas shopping and then went to Arlene's for supper and family home evening. The program was to see the show "The Empire Returns" a sequel to Star Wars. This is the first time I've seen one of these outer space films which is so intriguing to the young people today. There was much I couldn't understand, so many weird creatures and space vehicles. It makes one wonder what effect this sort of thing will have on the minds of the younger generation."

That is a pretty funny journal entry by Grandpa! I'm not sure how its affected my mind, but they are fun to watch!
