Getting close-up with Cole was one of the highlights of the evening. We also watched the video of Luke II and talked about the Christlike attributes of the different characters in the Nativity.
Then we put on costumes to portray the scene of the First Christmas in Bethlehem. Having little Cole, a real live baby for that part of the Nativity was very special.
Ryan had to work late that night, so we had to do without 'Joseph.' Then Richard said that Pete looked like Burger King, so we had a bit of humor going on as well. It was fun having Richard's family here for a sleepover that night.

It was fun having Richard's family here for a sleepover that night. Christmas Eve afternoon we went to Grandma Pieper's for the annual Liver Dumpling Party. That tasted sooooooooooooo good again. It was fun hanging out with the Pieper gang for a couple hours. Blaine and Marianne and their Provo kids came to have Christmas with Mom.
Blaine and Nikki arrived to spend Christmas Eve with us in Shelley and Blaine sang and played all the Christmas songs on his guitar in the light of the Christmas tree--that was awesome. I loved it! Nikki prepared lots of delicious meals for us. The Christmas Eve fondue was amazing. Pete had an emergency surgery Christmas morning, so we had brunch after he came back and then opened our gifts. We spent Christmas afternoon and evening in Menan with Richard and family and had another wonderful meal--the beef tenderloin roast was very tasty. That was followed up by chocolate fondue treats. Wow! Blaine & Nikki returned to their home Sunday evening and the fun and excitement was over. We missed our usual Christmas visit from Steve and family who spent their holiday in Florida, and of course the DeBrys and Barretts were also greatly missed.
And so another wonderful Christmas season has come and gone. I'm glad that we can look forward to many, many more celebrations in the years ahead. It really is the most wonderful time of the year!

I think you should call it the "Retro-Bethlehem Supper" after seeing Richard's get-up again! Thank you for helping to make our Christmas 2010 so much fun.
