HAPPY SUMMER SCENES

The pond has been busy again this summer. It's my dream come true! The kids are getting pretty good at handling the boats by themselves and don't have to wait for their elders to give them rides any more.

Kate's not afraid to venture out totally on her own and gets around just fine!Pete and I enjoyed an unexpected speed boat ride on Redfish Lake when we got separated from the rest of the family but found some old friends who were boating with their family. We were walking along the beach searching for the perfect place to spend the day when a man in shorts and sun glasses called out to Pete from the dock: "Hey, can you give me a blessing?" We were rather shocked until he said, "Well, aren't you a patriarch?" Then we recognized him as Kert Howard from Pocatello--he was one of the counselors Pete served with in the Mission Presidency. We had a good laugh and enjoyed spending some time with Kert and Louise before Chris and Ryan found us and told us where to go! (The other side of the lake where the rest of our family was.)

Daniel fished a dead marmot out of the pond where it was floating around. Fritz has had a busy hunting season!

Pieper was fascinated with Powell and he seemed fascinated with her. What a cute pair.

These three cuties are soaking up some shade near the pond.

Peter and Tyler had a good time playing pirates. Seemed like they had a good time doing anything any time! They were always looking for another adventure.

This has been a wonderful summer for me. The grandkids have kept me totally entertained!
